If you ordered a 15" MacBook Air, which colour did you get??

I ordered a Space Grey but I'm just boring like that :)

I might go and look at all the colours next week in the Apple Store as I've got to wait until the week after for them to build my 16/512 and ship it to the store anyway :(

Why on earth would anyone buy the midnight? It's a smudgy off-blue color. I really badly wanted it, but I saw it in person and omg the smudges ruined the whole experience. You would think Apple would try to fix the coating for the 15 inch, but they were like "Nope! Just give them another trashy coating, itø's not like they're gonna stop buying our products *evil laugh*"

I have to say, the starlight looked gorgeous in the store.
It has a beautiful champagne gold color. it looks better closed than open. I'm still iffy about if it's good looking when open...

I got my midnight one in recently, started using it today. After an hour I said "it's not so bad there are barely any smudges on my keyboard deck". Then I closed the lid and saw them all. I guess my palms aren't as sweaty and oily as my fingers. Yeah, it's truly atrocious. It'll be going back for one in space grey or stardust.

Apparently space grey leave discoloring too after longer use. May take a year or so, but you'll see it around your trackpad.

I ordered a Midnight but Silver is my backup color.
I've had a few space greys over the years and I'm kind of getting a little tired of the color. I think maybe it's time to go back to silver. And I really wanted to like the midnight colour but the fingerprint issue would drive me crazy.

Silver is classic, looks really nice with the new design.

I went with 24GB/1TB Space Grey... it's a laptop. Matches my work 16" MBP (M2 Max). Solid color, trim around the screen bezels blends well. Nothing boring about it (or 'exciting' about the other colors); until Apple drops another proper black laptop, I'm good. Silver was my backup option, after seeing all in-person.

The moment they offer a matte black aluminum or space black titanium option, my wallet is ready.

would love to hear more from the folks who went with Midnight nad how their experience has been.
I get the finger print is left behind but, dont yall wipe your laptop from time to time anyways from dust?
also, wouldnt a case solve the outer shell?

I went with Midnight myself, but I did plan on adding a skin on it before I brought the computer.

I had decided I wasn't going with a case on it, like I have with my 16in MBP. I wanted the laptop to stay as light as possible, but I also wanted some protection for the top. I also wanted a skin that would make my laptop stand out a little as being mine.

I think the fingerprint thing has been blown up to the point, that it sticks into the head of any owner that gets Midnight or someone who might be considering it. While I waited for my skin to arrive, I actually kind of forgot about the smudges due to the excitement from using the MBA. I do think for some, it's been the constant drumming about the finger print smudges that makes them such a big thing. A simple wipe with the same terry cloth I use to clean my iPP, and the smudges are no more. Issue resolved.

Went with Space Grey. Didn't want to deal with any potential headaches from trying to keep Midnight clean, Starlight wasn't appealing to me personally. Between Space Grey and Silver, the I chose the former because I thought it would fit nicer with the black bezels and the black keyboard.

The color choosing horse race continues!

After 199 votes, somewhat under half of MR respondents report picking Midnight! A wee bit of slippage there from earlier.

It's followed way in the distance by a near tie between Silver and Starlight, both at about 20%.

Space Grey is still running last, but is nipping at their heels.

Looks like Midnight remains a crowd favorite and will likely cruise to an easy victory…

Its jockeys are all wearing gloves! 😁

Who will cast the 200th vote?! And, for which horse?

Starlight is by far the nicest. And that is my objective answer. Not subjective at all.

Truly though - it is very nice and makes it different than usual space grey/silver, without going all the way to midnight.

I Like the midnight but it is a finger print nightmare and I needed a microfiber cloth next to the machine to keep it clean. So, I put a case on it which allows me to enjoy the darker color but prevents it picking up fingerprints. Always bought Space Gray when it was available, but I was a little bored with the look. It is fine for my 16" MBPro, but the MBA is supposed to be a little more lighthearted and less serious. All in the mind and is a purely aesthetic choice which can change with the wind. Choose the color you like and forget what other people think. It is your computer and you can do what you like with it. What about a nice dark green or maroon/red wine etc. I wish the computer manufacturers would get more imaginative, but more diversity in colors increases production costs and logistics complexity, so we put up with it and put on a case to express ourselves, if we need to. That way we can change the look of the machine for around $25 when we are sick and tired of the appearance.

I always wanted a red wine (Burgundy) colored air! Window had this GORGEOUS dark red laptop once, and it made me ALMOST buy it just because of its color and design... but I hate windows lol
