Poll: Which hand is your "phone hand"?

Let's make this simple, which hand do you use your phone with PRIMARILY?

I understand sometimes you use your phone with both hands, especially in landscape mode
And some of you are am-phone-dextrous and are comfortable using either hand
I also understand with the Plus size phones determining a dominant hand is trickier

But I find the mix of right/left handed and which hand the phone is used in to be interesting

So let's don't overthink this with "hey, why didn't you put this option?"
Just pick one!

I'm RIGHT handed, but I use my iPhone X in my LEFT hand almost exclusively

I’m right handed. I hold my phone normally with my left hand and dial/type with my right hand.

Sometimes to mix it up a little, I hold my phone with my left hand and dial/open apps with my nose

So if the poll is so bad because of lack of variables... what additional variables would you include that would have been appropriate, and would not have made the poll totally unwieldy and therefore of no value at all?

Hopefully you can see where this is headed... and why I limited it to the choices I made

Ambidextrous (equally clumsy with both hands), I pick it with one hand and swipe to unlock with the other. When the missus is in a bad mood, I hold it to my left ear (my deaf ear) and when she's being pleasant, I hold it to my right ear. It's a little trick I learned from Lord Nelson.

Hands free! I use voice typing and voice commands as much as possible. And I think Apple has a long way to go on this front.

Am right handed, and, from childhood, have used phones - landlines, portable land lines, telephone box phones, mobile phones (cell phones to our Transatlantic Cousins) and satellite phones all in my left hand, - and only in my left hand - for the pure and simple reason that messages often had to be noted, and written, (my mother's office was in our home) and that meant the hand that was used for writing needed to be free to write while the other held or cradled the phone.

Even now, when making a call or answering one on a landline or mobile, I will use - always - my left hand (will dial with my right) and have pen and paper handy for when necessary.

I did read your post, easy :

• Right handed primarily use right hand.
• Righted handed, but when typing use both hands.
• Left handed, primarily use left hand.
• Left handed, but when typing use both hands.
• Ambidextrous.

Some people do use just one hand even when typing.

You should add: both hands, one at a time.

when I get tired of using one hand, I use the other one, and so on, ad infinitum.
