There's been a lot of posts with people having the high pitch key issue with their MBP.

There are a 56 pages thread about the issue here:

It would be interesting to know if the issue is just related to a specific year or a specific model. There's been a lot of people reporting this with their 2016 MBP. I have had the issue with my 2017 non-TB model, but some people post that the issue might not affect the 2017 TB-version.

To get some facts - I am posting this poll.

I would love nothing more than to trust the 2017 MBP keyboard, in 13" or 15".

Many 2017 refurbs showing up now. Does anyone know if nTB version less likely to have the keyboard issues?

Indeed, the threads about the keyboard problems seem pretty long. It would be interesting to wade through them and count the people that actually report having problems, as opposed to those who report the opposite, or discuss something else entirely.

For the record, no problems on mine.
So it would seem you would favor a poll validating your experience.

Based on the poll this seems like not much of a problem, especially when filtering for 2017 where it is less than 10%. Then again sound is one of those things that some people are much more sensitive than others so maybe the issue is more common but most people don't notice it.

Well, seeing as how I really don't have anything of substance to contribute to a thread expressly dealing with problems (and I do realize that I've muddied the waters in a couple of those but I'm done with that, life's too short), that would be a fair assessment to make.

That is, if I even understood your post correctly.

Based on the poll so far - 30% have reported issues. That is quite high.

The devices are not even a year on the market. The 2017 has been released only 3 months ago. It is not clear if the 2017 has really been improved.

But the poll is not of any statistically relevance yet with a such low number of participants.
