The US is in central North America ;)

ASOCNA=Amalgamated States of Central North America

When I was a kid I decided I would rewrite the constitution and create a new USA---and that was the name I came up with, use it as as my location now on MR ;) Although the description of central north america doesnt work when you consider both alaska and hawaii

Mms

So for the OP can you specify on the "coolness". I'm a bit upset that we don't have it yet but would like to hear more about what you like and dislike about it.

Like I posted in another thread...

Who gives a **** about MMS? I have it on my current phone (LG Shine) and I barely use it. It's cool to send a friend a picture of something every once in awhile, but I only use it maybe once or twice a month. With services such as TwitPic available, I don't get why not having MMS is such a huge deal--coming from someone who has had it for the past 5 years and will not miss it when my iPhone comes in on Friday.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Safari/530.17)

It's not often we get something before you Americans, but let me just tell you MMS is very, very, cool.

U suck...so does Canada!!!
Maybe u should get a life.
MMS has been around for ages.

You know... I'm tired of these rants. So, I'll tell you why:

I GET THE D*MN MMS MESSAGES ON MY IPHONE ALL THE TIME FROM MY FRIENDS.

#1 I'm sick and tired of going to that crappy "viewmymessage" site.
#2 You cannot expect ALL of your friends to remember to email you that picture (and hence send everyone else an MMS). It's NOT GOING TO HAPPEN
#3 Using the carrier e-mail address to send an "MMS" to your friend/family works about 50% of the time. I'm sick of that.
#4 NOT EVERYONE HAS EMAIL ON THEIR PHONE
#5 If e-mail is your suggestion to "replace" MMS (which it will SOMEDAY), then why did Apple include SMS?

When sending a MMS from a non-iPhone (do you guys even know what those are?) you can send it to e-mail addresses as well as phone numbers. I do it all the time.

Boo ****in' hoo, you (and I) have to wait 2 months to get another option to send picture messages to your buddies. Big deal. Stop whining.

And yes, that works about 50% of the time (LIKE I NOTED IN MY FIRST POST).

Yes, Boo freakin' hoo to you, b/c MMS is coming.

So, why did Apple put in SMS? Email is supreme.

I rarely get MMS messages, even through viewmymessage.com; usually someone has to send me a picture 4 or 5 times for it to actually give me a message ID and password to login to the website.

THIS is why I spent 2 hours on the phone with AT&T yesterday trying to get the MMS feature working. When I miss important messages, it frustrates me.

For people saying MMS isn't a big deal, imagine not getting all of your mail from the post office. If 50% of your mail was lost in transit, it would cause you and the people sending you things a lot of headache. I'm sorry that not everyone is fortunate enough to receive picture messages from their friends (or co-workers), but for those of us who do it's a big deal.
