Did you have the obligatory first time restart after you installed the beta and let it sit for a while? The first restart usually fixes a lot of issues with betas.

My test iPhone 7 doesn‘t even have half that battery drain of yours on iOS 15.

Also: downgrade if you can‘t deal with issues like these, it‘s on you for installing this on a daily driver.

It turns out that Find My’s “left behind” alerts was draining my battery while my iPhone was not in use and was also the cause of my iPhone 12 constantly being hot when not in use.

beta

I installed the beta because some people were reporting better battery life than in iOS 14 but actually it’s pretty bad on my iPhone X (replaced battery a few months ago in Apple Store, 98% health right now). Usual suspects (WhatsApp, Instagram) are the main drainers.

To be honest, that's a pretty bad reason to install a beta release on your daily driver... there is so much that can go wrong, even if the current beta is rock solid, it can all go south in the next release... and battery life is always spotty early on when riding the beta train... too many moving parts, logging, software traces and other internal processes embedded in the betas... nothing is optimized at this point, either in the iOS or for third party apps...
