Poor black levels on 3G iPhone?

Is black levels really the proper description of what your seeing? Looks more like poor contrast.

I really dont know why. But i know my screen is bad. Mine failed all the tests on appleservedup.com. The first box is almost just as black as the background, the jayz album cover doesnt have the gray aura around him, its more blackish.

I can see the aura around the cover figure clearly on my 3G phone, even at half brightness. Have you updated the firmware, just in case?

Yeh i updated the firmware. Its still doing the same thing.
