Is anyone else experiencing poor facial recognition performance after updating to iOS 12 on their iPhone X? I'm finding facial recognition is working slower in general, it's having a hard time recognizing my face in bright lighting (wasn't an issue prior to iOS update), phone needs to be held a little closer and more squarely aligned to my face to unlock. I'm wondering if the phone has to "re-learn' your face after the update? Everything else with iOS 12 is working great but facial recognition seems to be struggling.

Am I the only one experiencing this? I apologize in advance if there have been other threads about this...

No, for me, it got much faster. Maybe redo the setup?

That's not a bad idea - thanks for the tip!

I also noticed an improvement in performance. Bright direct sunlight has never been faceid’s strong point...
