He made Star Trek awesome again and looks to be doing the same with Star Wars. I think he deserves a free watch.

Some celebrities won't even show up to the Oscars if the gift bag isn't good enough. None of the celebrities you've seen posting paid for the watch. It is more likely that the watch is a gift in exchange for wearing it in public and endorsing on social media. And the model of the watch is commensurate with how influential the celebrity is. Beyonce rates a custom gold with gold band while Christy Turlington gets a sport.

Christy Turlington wears a stainless steel model.

It's possible that some of these celebrities requested these watches but it's in Apple's best interest to gift them in exchange for celebrities wearing them during public appearances or on social networks.

Christy was specifically hired by Apple as both a model and a spokesperson for the health related features.

The man has a SS with navy blue sport band. I doubt the cost of that watch will make or break him or Apple guys. One tuft of hair from a Wookie costume is probably worth more on EBay. Maybe he sent them some in trade. Lol
