poor performance on lion

since i upgrade to os x lion, the performance gets worse and worse. it opens apps slowly, like open pages requires around 15 seconds. and when i open multiple things, it freezes up. it really slows down my work. i upgrade the RAM to 5GB, plus install ccleaner and clean genius pro, but it only has minor improvements. do you guys have some solutions? thanks.

oh, by the way, my computer is mid-2010 macbook, 2.4ghz

Open Activity Monitor and select All Processes and then either sort by Real Mem to show you the process(es) using up your RAM or/and sort by CPU to show you the processes slowing down your Mac.
