I have had a Plantronics Discovery 975 for about a year and used it on my old LG phone without any problems. I got an iPhone 4s and now there is crackling/static noises during most calls with my Bluetooth, even when the phone is right next to me. Does the iPhone not have good Bluetooth quality, or is my Bluetooth device not compatible with the iPhone or is the Bluetooth just dying? The Apple website says the Plantronics 975 is compatible with the 4s, but it seems odd that it would stop working all of a sudden when paired with a new phone.

It is odd that you're getting those problems; bluetooth on my 4S has been fine across two headsets and my car bluetooth.

Do you have any easy way to try a different bluetooth device to see if the problem is with your phone or your headset?
