pop gmail will not send/receive any mail thru Apple Mail?

I've looked over the settings and can't figure out what's going on.

Have you enabled POP in your online Gmail settings?

Also, I'd recommend IMAP over POP. It adds so many more features and is way more convenient!

POP is enabled thru gmails settings. I've been using gmail's IMAP and I dislike all of the folders and what not that come with using it.

I like it simple and clean.
