iPod touch Pop sound

I just got a new iPod touch 3g and noticed a weird pop sound. It happens after I lock the iPod and is ever so slight. Still, it bugs the hell out of me. Do I have a defected device? Anyone else experience the same?

That's probably the normal popping sound that it always makes when you push the lock button. It's probably not defected.

To make sure, go to Settings and tap on "General" and then "Sounds." Turn off the option that says "Lock Sounds." If you are still hearing the click, then it may be something else.
