I have never had a problem before.

Yesterday i was on amazon and i saw an ad pop up says "this is not a joke, you are 10.0000 visitor, click here to claim your prize" the ad had a smiley face next to it.

I thought it odd it was on Amazon and thought maybe their site got hacked. Today i went to apple.com and scrolled to the bottom and the same ad was there.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this?

I have tried repair permission, no help. Pic below

Why is it always a VIRUS, why can it not be a trojan or spyware or an advertisement add on for Chrome?

Please tell us, what extensions or add-ons on Chrome you have.

Currently there are zero viruses affecting Mac OS X in public circulation, but there are other kinds of malware existing, that can infect your Mac, but that can be avoided via employing the proper security steps without the help of any anti virus software.
To learn more about malware in Mac OS X and what steps can be taken to protect yourself, read the following F.A.Q.:

To edit your thread title to a descriptive one, as you already edited the title from "After ten years of using Macs, i have my first Virus !!" to "I got a virus :-(", to get a knowledgable audience and help making the thread easier to find for people looking for the same information, just click on the [IMG] button on the bottom right of your original post and then click the [IMG] button below your message.

Sorry i dont know the difference between a virus, trojan or spyware.

Otherwise i would of written i have a trojan or spyware. Once i know which one i have i will change the title.

The only two extensions i have are iReader and easy auto refresh. I have had these for over a year.

It's an ad, not malware of any kind. Check to see if you have something called Bookmark Sentry installed, as the ad appears to be associated with that extension.

Macs are not immune to malware, but no true viruses exist in the wild that can run on Mac OS X, and there never have been any since it was released over 12 years ago. The only malware in the wild that can affect Mac OS X is a handful of trojans, which can be easily avoided by practicing safe computing (see below). Read the link below to understand the difference between malware types. 3rd party antivirus apps are not necessary to keep a Mac malware-free, as long as a user practices safe computing, as described in the following link.
Read the What security steps should I take? section of the Mac Virus/Malware FAQ for tips on practicing safe computing.

Thank you for the help. I thought it odd an add on Apple's site and on Amazon that looked cheap and obviously a scam.

Man, ImageShack is a ****** image hosting service.

Anyway, if you see that add again, pay ATTENTION to what is written below it, which I have not, due to the lousy resolution at first:
