I'm getting a mac soon and I was wondering if they get all these pop ups the same as a pc or if I have to get a special pop up blocker? I have the google pop up blocker on my pc now but they still get through sometimes and the other times the google bar pops up and pushes the whole screen down while I'm trying to click on something and I end up clicking on a gay porn link instead of a regular porn link.

Safari has a built in pop up blocker that works pretty well.

Most of the popups you're getting is related to spyware/malware. Both aren't out in the wild with the Macintosh platform. So that won't be an issue. You can go to any site that would normally give you spyware on a PC that wouldn't effect the Mac one bit as far as popups go.
That being said, Safari has a built in popup blocker which works very well for the sites that have normal popup ads as part of their website.
Also, as of today, there are no viruses for OS X in the wild. There is proof of concept, so it is possible for an OS X virus, but there are none as of today. That goes for spyware as well. There is proof of concept, but out in the wild.
