POP3 email issues

I have been using mobile me for a year now, and I have no problems getting .mac email or yahoo, these two push, but cant seen to get reliable POP3 email for work. I work for a small co that does not have outlook exchange so we just use POP3, not problem on work laptop, but when I am traveling I am uncertain if I am getting emails. Some days I will get all of them, then the next day maybe only 5 of 10. Anyone have any ideas? I do get all calendar and contact stuff pushed from outlook.

Ideas?
