I still didn’t find a proper replacement for this app. I tried out „Overdrop“ and while I love the style I really don’t like the fact that it can’t show multiple cities on one screen. Still looking for a proper alternative.
I use weather apps a lot and I’m very particular about their funtionality and aesthetics. Every time I comfortable with one app, it gets acquired and ruined by some mega company. I used to use WeatherUnderground before they were acquired and **** on by IBM and WeatherChannel. I liked Dark Sky and then Apple scoops them up but fails to put out an Apple-branded version. And now WeatherLine.

So annoying.

Whoever it is I hope they actually utilize the information and keep it up-to-date. Unlike the dark sky app which has been slow to add anything new since the acquisition by Apple.
Unfortunately, our outdated and poorly enforced antitrust laws make it possible, perhaps even likely, that WeatherLine was acquired by some terrible company like IBM/WeatherCHandel purely to eliminate competition to its terrible app which is nothing but a vehicle for surveillance capitalism.

Yeah, it's indeed annoying. I tried "Overdrop" recently. I really like the aesthetics but I really dislike the fact of not being able to display multiple cities at once on the start screen.

Sorry to necro this thread, but now that Weather Line ? is officially dead, did we ever find out who the buyer was?

I read a rumor that it was Fox News.

Could this be it? It's a shame because I have no interest in installing or viewing anything from this organization.
