Popup box when sending an email

How do i stop a popup box asking for password from popping up every time i open the mail box. If i cancel it disappears but is a bit annoying.

I'm guessing your SMTP doesn't require a password if cancelling it still lets you send email. In that case, go to the Accounts section of Mail's Preferences and in the Server Settings section, make sure Authentication is set to None. 🙂
