I am trying to do port forwarding through Transmission. Can anyone help me set this up? I have a D-link wireless router and am able to get into the settings but don't know where to go from there. Any help would be appreciated.

My friend was attempting to walk me through this a while back but after we got the IP address typed in it wouldnt re-connect to the internet. If this happens again, what should I do?

If anything bad happens then just undo what you did, and you should be back where you started.

I set up the forwarding on the router end. Someone told me to change my airport settings to manual in the advanced section...

You shouldn't have to do anything on the mac end to do port forwarding, just on the router.

well, Im running transmission and the upload is still pretty weak. Currently it is 45 up, 142 down. The best I have been getting is around 100-120.
