I'm traveling with my Mac Mini M4 for a couple weeks and just picked up a preowned UPERFECT 16" OLED portable monitor for $200.

It.
Is.
Incredible.

Oh my goodness do I wish Apple would get 120hz OLEDs across the laptop lines, at least as BTO options.
The colors are just breathtaking, as expected from an OLED, and to have the 120hz I'm used to at my home OLED TV/monitor is just the bees knees.

This is 16", 3k (2880x1800), so perfect "retina" 2x at 1440x900, which I think is amazing at 16".

It even is enclosed in a very Apple like smart folio that stands it up, sort of like iPad smart cases/folios.

Also, it has 3 inputs ... that's 2 more than $3300 Apple desktop monitors have 🤣.

To cap it off, the monitor is fully powered and connected with just one single USB/TB cable.
This is an incredible accessory and it makes the 15" MBP retina panel next to me look positively pedestrian.

It's actually a little crazy to me that Apple doesn't sell something like this as a 2nd screen accessory.

I have a few lawyer friends who travel with these sorts of things (2x screen setup is a super productivity enhancement for them) and I have a feeling there would be a robust market for an Apple fit & finish version of something like this.
