Those NMVe blades are surelly compact, but are they reliable as a spinner?
For longevity. No. Like all flash storage they have limited lifespan and limited write cycles.

Good ones tend to fail in a readable state but it’s no guarantee.

But they have benefits, speed, noise, impact resistance, etc.
 
Amazon has the Samsung T7 1TB for $90 and it comes with both A and C cables.
Also, the 2 TB for $150 and the 2TB Shield for $160. Those are not bad prices.
