Portable external hdds

Are there anyone that do not have vendor software installed?

I recall WD having their smartware that could not be removed...not matter what I did (reformat, erase, whatever)

Haha I tried that and it killed the hdd as in I could not get it to be recognized. I followed it verbatim too

1. Buy bare 2.5" HDD of your choice
2. Buy a decent quality USB caddy
3. Fit drive to caddy
