    Hey Guys,

I bought a 2.5" 320gb hard drive 6 months ago and thought i would never fill it up... 6 months later and i only have 20GB left!!!

For this reason I have decided to get a 1tb 3.5" portable hard drive... Im looking for something thats quite cheap and reliable..

If you could help me out that would be great... Also, Im in New Zealand so if youre looking whether we stock the part your going to recommend down here just type it into http://www.staticice.co.nz/

    Cheers

You'll have to define portable: There are no bus-powered 3.5" drives.

They definitely sound transportable at least...

Well in that case I think there are around 10 million posts on 'which external drive should I get?' :p

There are so many, and most are viable. Personally, I use the Lacie D2 Quadra. I like to standardise on the disks I use for at least a couple of years each time and after buying a few drives, I thought the Quadra was the best package overall.
