Hi everyone! I am interested in buying a portable scanner that “plays well” with macOS. I mainly want to scan papers and create PDFs. (This would supplement using my phone.)

Besides size, ease of use is an important motivator to get me on the path to decluttering. I will scan at home but don’t want or need a full size scanner (I’ve never dealt with the scanner feature of my HP all in one and don’t have space for 2 full size devices).

Years ago I had an early version of the Doxie Go but I see that other brands are now in the market as well.

I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance!

(My apologies if this is in the wrong forum.)

I have an Epson ES-300W which works great. It's also mobile (battery powered).

I went with the Doxie Pro DX400 and am really happy with it. I am also considering the Doxie Go SE Wi-Fi for on the go needs.

Why not just use an app for scanning? I have an automatic scanner on my printer but don’t use it as the ScannerPro app for my phone is much quicker.
