Porting mobile number online- Australia

Hey guys I just have a quick question
I am going to be buying the 16gb 3gs on Vodafone's $69 plan. I am on racq so I am going to use the special online deal. I was wondering how do I port my number across from optus prepaid? Do I go into Vodafone and port it over to prepaid first or what?

Ring Voda and ask them.
