I think I am ready to pull the trigger on an iPhone, my only concern is I currently have Verizon, and am worried AT&T might not have the best coverage where I live (I live way out in the country, where slack-jawed yokels think high technology is running water).

My question is, if I buy the iPhone, port my number over, but the service sucks, can I return the phone within 3 days and still port my number back to Verizon?

Thanks.

You can actually just buy the Iphone, and tell them you want to have a temp number, as you may eventaully port a number you already own over. If service sux, return the phone within the specified time.

This is what I did for my iphone 3G. Decided service and phone was good, so (3 weeks later) ported my number over from sprint. Worked out great!

Good luck!
