Porting # to at&t at apple store?

Hey guys, I'm going to be getting an iphone soon, getting out of verizon early. I want to port my # to at&t and was wondering if the people at an apple store can do that as well? I was going to an at&t store, but every at&t store in my county are sold out.

I ported mine from Verizon to AT & T at the Apple Store yesterday....not a hitch.

I ported my home landline at the Apple store. I can make phones calls, but still cannot receive any. Hopefully, will work fine this week.
