I'm looking for a kickstand case for portrait view that doesn't add any bulk to the 6s+. Does anyone have suggestion?? I see so many for landscape view but only a couple for portrait view..

This is the one I am using-https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00O3BR5VO/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1456094357&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=aduro+iphone+6+plus+kickstand

It came with my 6s+ (bought discounted used) and has turned out to be a nice slim case that adds very little bulk. The kickstand does a good job, but sometimes hard to deploy. It also comes with a holster, but since I don't use them, I modified it and made a home made car dock out of it that securely holds and charges my iPhone easily.

Hello -

Have you looked at ZeroChroma's VarioProtect? It's got a clever design that's received raves. I'm interested in it myself; I'll probably buy it.

The Scooch Clipstic Pro is also an unusual case, and it might be useful for portrait orientation. EDIT: I've just discovered that at least some of the newer Clipstic Pros are made of aluminum. You'll want to avoid metal cases, as they interfere with signal reception.

Finally, You might consider DracoDesign's Tigris Shell Stand Case. It's certainly slim and unobtrusive!

Best regards,
Brian

Thanks Skorpio, I've seen this and thought about getting it till I found out this is a snap on case with no protection on top and bottom. Does it provide good protection?

Hey Brian, I'm getting ZeroChroma's VarioProtect being shipped right now. This is the only case that comes close to what I'm looking for. I've seen Draco Design case and looks good but this is also snap on! Wonder why good looking thin case always has to be snap on!

IMO, the thin hard plastic case is more minimal protection with it's minimal dimensions and the top and bottom only has a lip for protection, similar to Apple's own leather cases. I doubt it'll stay scuff free from idiot drops. But It's always a compromise. If you are careful with your device this case will work. But if your clumsy, best get a case that looks the size of a brick.
This case fits easily my pockets and the grippy case lets me secure it in my hands confidently.
The kickstand works well in either landscape or portrait, but the plastic hinges do feel cheap. You can also use the kickstand as a ring to put a secure finger through it for better grip. For $5.50 it's worth it!

You got a great deal for $5.50 for this case! This case always show up when I'm searching for kickstand case so it must be popular. The car dock you made is awesome, what a great job! That was another reason I didn't get this case because I don't use a holster.
