Position of adding image ignored on mobile

I cannot add a photo to the right position on mobile. It also does not let me resize the image by the way. The little corner dots cannot be dragged on mobile, unlike desktop.

Lets say this is my post:


"HELLO

[IMAGE SHOULD GO HERE]

"

The blinking thingy to indicate where I am is BELOW "HELLO" but when I add the photo on mobile it does this:

I’m testing this on an iPhone with iOS 16.

I cannot do resizing but when adding a photo with either the attach files or insert photo options, it’ll place it under the written text.

Not sure why it's not placing the photo in the correct spot for you. Which device and iOS version are you using?

iPhone 12 Pro Max on 16.1 and Safari.

Here is a video. It automatically places the photos on top of what is written
