Well there seems to be alot of negative going around so thought a positive thread might be good to those thinking about buying.....I have nothing but good things to say about the iphone. Im 38 and have owned so many PDA's/smartphones that this was/is a welcome change.

For my experience I was able to get connected in less than 10 minutes and that includes registration and downloading my library with movies, songs, music videos and pictures. Texting someone is easy and texted 3 people right out of the shoot. The transition from application to application has been over beyond smooth and screen sensitive to touch.

Surfing on such a small device is what I expected the edge is slow but MacRumors loads and reloads in about 30 seconds. When 3g or something faster in the future I will upgrade, but no issues for now. I would rather have the battery life and skinny phone.

At first when talking on the phone I felt it wasnt load enough, but using in the car I was impressed. Its as if the phone can sense the environment and changes the volume. I was having to turn it down after several uses...

Speaker quality when listening to music is not all that great but didnt really expect anything steller so no biggee..

Would like to see more widgets on the home screen such as movie times and yellow pages. The stocks and weather loaded super fast with edge and 3G

Im sorry to those that have had issues and hope they are resolved soon.

As for those thinking about buying one do the research so your not disappointed in this type of phone......

Its not a PDA like the Treo as Steve stated... Its an IPOD and its a PHONE....
It does everything he has stated without issues.

Glad to see your wait paid off, did the manager do anything more for the people waiting in the queue.

The iPhone is truly a remarkable device.

Just before I got into the AT&T store today I was thinking how far the computer industry has come since the mid 60's when I first started working on mainframe computers.

The thing I like the best about it is the User Interface. The screen is so sharp and responds exactely as you would expect to the touch.

Browsing the Internet on the Edge network is pretty good as well. Wifi flies (as long as its not encrypted).

It is also very attractive. It would be nice if it came with a holder though. It does tend to get hot.
