Nope, $999 is a nice even number. You may get more features, but I think the $999 and $1999 starting prices for the ibook and pbook will stay.

ibook pricing will stay the same. if they want something in the low price market, they will introduce a new line. I also think that they will have something for people who need more power than the ibooks but less than powerbooks (MBPs). That also might be a sub-compact. but i'm not sure. its not like a work for apple.

No. If intel chip is cheaper than G4, they will put a better GPU in it, better drive, HD to keep the price at 1000$
