A text (ordinary SMS) is sent from an iPhone, which has iMessage deactivated.

Is it in any way possible for this text to be recieved on the recipient's Macbook, for example if the recipient has iMessage activated on his iPhone and Mac?

How do you suppose a computer would receive an SMS without a cellular radio?

If you have verizon, you can. Go to the verizon web site. Log in and then click on MY Verizon, and then "send text message". It will let you set it up where you you can send and receive through the browser. Best part, it will show all your messages that you have sent from you iphone. Works great if you are working on computer, and don't want to deal with texts on phone. Since it is browser based, if you close out browser, you don't get the messages.
