So I’ve often wondered what future health sensors Apple might be working on for the Apple Watch. So I dug around the internet and so far I have found articles that mentioned them working on or even having patents for the following:

• blood glucose
• blood alcohol
• blood pressure
• skin temperature
• UV exposure sensor

Have you heard of anything else? What else could be possible? I understand this is pure speculation at this point but with the reports coming out that this year’s update won’t add any new sensors, it’s interesting to think about what might come over the next couple of years.

Temp seems doable this go around. Glucose is the game changer. Hope it happens.

What about
Tone analysis

IMHO, blood glucose will never happen with just the watch. There will have to be some form of sensor like the FreeStyle Libre or the Dexcom. And even then the FDA hoops Apple will have to jump through.

But even then, the only true reliable test for BG is a finger stick.
