(1) Go to the iMessage App and select any contact
(2) Tap on the iMessage bubble - you will now be presented with the full qwerty keyboard.
(3) Here is the bug: Tapping on the microphone icon on the bottom right gives no response. You either have to tap the microphone icon multiple times, or type something with the keyboard and then tap the microphone to get the microphone to work.

I have an S8 with watchos 10.1.1. Could not replicate this bug on Apple Watch SE because it did not have the qwerty keyboard. For those with a S7 or newer and running watchos 10 and newer, do you have this issue?

I have an Apple Watch Series 9 with the most current watchOS and I've come across this bug, too.
Button is unresponsive and has to be tapped multiple times.
I cannot remember, which update introduced it.

it feels like the "target" is off on a lot of small buttons recently, I'll tap and tap on the icon, and nothing happens, but tapping just below will usually get it.

I've especially had issues with the delete and pin buttons in the new Smart Stack/widget thing

Good to know I am not the only one experiencing this. I believe it started on the very first release of watchOS 10.

I don't believe that the target is off because if I hit any key on the qwerty keyboard first, then the microphone button responds perfectly.

I did some further testing, I experience the problem with other small buttons, too. E.g. Emojis button in the Messages app. I filed a bug report with Apple, for what it‘s worth…

I am experiencing the exact same thing on my S7 running the latest software. I don't believe this bug was in place in watchos 9, only started noticing it in 10.
