Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere but seeing as the rumoured iPhone 12 Pro dark blue colour has appeared as a new colour option on the series 6 Apple Watch (the top end model in the Watch range), could it be that the new colours for the iPad Air (Apple's low-mid range iPad) could be the new colour options for the non-Pro iPhone 12?
For the last couple of years Apple has gone with brighter, more vivid colours for the base iPhone models - XR and the 11. Makes sense that will continue for the base model 12 (the 5.4" and 6.1"), and can't see why Apple would have a few new original colours for the iPad Air and then a completely different set of new colours for the new iPhone.
So that would mean the colour options for the 5.4"/6.1" non-Pro iPhone 12s are:
For the Pro models I would guess at Space Grey, Silver, Gold, 'Midnight Blue' (or some other dark blue variant name which looks the same as the S6 Apple Watch blue).
Could be completely wrong here, but it just doesn't make sense to me that Apple would introduce so many new colour options for hardware in the same year.

- Black (assuming they reserve Space Grey for the Pro models again)
- White (assuming they reserve Silver for the Pro models again)
- Rose Gold
- Green
