I got my new MacBook Pro a couple of days ago, an upgrade from the Alu MacBook.

Problem is, my wlan performance is lousy. I get huge amounts of packet loss, bad response time (ping), to computers wired to the router, and I even drop the connection totally from time to time.

Has anyone else experience something similar? The router I use is the Airport Extreme by the way and I never saw these kind of issues with the old MacBook.

Try resetting/rebooting the router and see what happens. Often times, it is an issue with the router, not the computer.

I dont believe the router is the issue. It has always been rock solid and I have restarted just tro try. The issue remain.
