Hi, new here and new to macs (don't own one yet) and would like some input on how the prices will go in the future.

I'm considering buying the low spec 13" MacBook Pro, with student discount it comes to around £850. However with the possible new refresh coming about I was wondering how apple have priced older lines, wether they discontinue them completely, would the price for the older line drop significantly and if the new line would be the same price as the current line. Is it all going to be relative to the new hardware inside?

I realise it's all merely speculation ATM however from reading this forum for a couple of weeks, you all have more experience with apple than I have.

I know there's about 5 new threads a day about 'should I wait or buy' etc. but this is specifically about their pricing history, and future.

Thanks.

I'm waiting for new Macbook Pro 13'' for my studies as well and as far as I know Apple usually don't change their prices.
