Hello all,

Having migrated my mobileme account to icloud last night in the hopes that everything may just work (lol), i discovered that iCal doesn't sync to iCloud as it still looks for the calendar server that refers to MobileMe, something like cal.me.com in server settings in preferences > accounts > user@me.com > server

I was thinking that all it would take to make this work in Snow Leopard is to copy the iCloud server address to the same place in iCal preferences then it should sync?

Can anyone who has Lion and iCould running who syncs their calendar to iCloud have a look and let me know the address so i can try this when i get home???

Found this on another forum, and it worked for me...

Server Address: p06-caldav.icloud.com

Just set up as a CalDav account, and used my iTunes account info for username and password. Worked like a charm. All my iCloud calendars just popped up.

Running OS X 10.6.8, iCal 4.0.4

Or just wait until 10.6.9 and you'll be sweet.

Apple of course is waiting for as many people as possible to buy Lion before that's released, however.

I am also having issues with syincing iCal with iCloud. My iPhone syncs nicely but I guess iCal can't reach the server... because it's the old MobileMe one? I tried changing the server address to p06-caldav.icloud.com but that didn't do anything.

Edit: I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.8

Worked for me! Thanks so much. I've been trying to figure this out for a while and #augustmiller17's solution was the first and only one that worked!

Is there a workaround for Address Book too?

Huge, huge, huge thanks to augustmiller17 for the iCal solution--worked like a charm!

So...any chance there's also a workaround for Address Book? Am hoping there's a CardDAV address that works as well as the CalDAV does. Maybe....?

CardDAV address?

Thankful as well for the CalDAV info -- I actually had to use it, and I have Lion! But I'm still looking for any update for CardDAV. My mobile devices (iPad, iPod Touch) synch my Address Book/Contacts without difficulty, but it is truly hit or miss to get the updates made on those devices to sync to my MacMini.

There was an unexpected error with the request (domain CalDAVErrorDomain / error 5 / description 'The server has not specified a calendar home for the account at "/ -- https://p06-caldav.icloud.com/".').

How do I get the right calendar home?

continued problems with ical sync with iPhone, mac and iPad

i have tried to follow augustmiller17's suggestion but can't seem to get it to work. Not sure I truly understand what I need to do.

right now i CANNOT edit appts on iPhone or iPad --only on the mac. And nothing that i am doing on the Mac will sync with the iPhone or iPad.

I CAN add a new appt on iPhone and I can even edit that appt but it does NOT sync with mac or iPad

I really only have 1 calendar but am showing duplicates for work, home, calendar and 1 for @me. If I uncheck the @me calendar ALL data disappears from the calendar.

under Ical i have the following checked
calendar on my mac
calendar on @me
calendar on iCloud

i DO NOT have work or home calendars checked

I am running Lion; with iMac iPad 2 and iPhone 4S and using IOS5

sure would appreciate some help in resolving what I think I have messed up royally.

Thanks all

syncing ical using snow leopard

I was able to sync my calendar from my iphone to icloud with snow leopard. On Sunday I set up my ical with the p06-caldav.icloud.com address and everything showed up on ical. Now ical isn't syncing. Any suggestions? I haven't changed to Lion because I use Quicken 2006 and its not compatible with Lion.

Thank you SO much for this. Have Snow Leopard at work and no chance of upgrading, so I was afraid I lost my calendar on my work computer forever with iCloud. Now I've got it back!

Has anyone found a solution for getting a Mac running 10.5/10.6 to receive the push notifications from iCloud calendars...??

I have the calendars showing all OK on the Mac, and if I make changes on the Mac they DO sync to the iCloud version, but NOT the other way around automatically by push - the only way is either manually refreshing or setting the refresh to every minute etc....

Any ideas...?

I've tried a variety of caldav server address: p01, p06, and p03-caldav.icloud.com (which seems to be the 'default' one when I look at a iCloud shared calendar address)....No Push to the Mac with any of them....

Appreciate any thoughts or solutions....

Steve

That seems to be a no go from my experience and what I've tried to find on the net....

On 10.6, Mail works and iCal to an extent, but I can't seem to find a carddav server address that will work...

I've also since found that iCal on 10.5.8 will not play with iCloud calendars.....But of a bummer for family members on older Macs (probably their one and only) and who don't change machines as readily as some of us, but who also have iOS devices and now iCloud accounts.........I really don't get where Apple are going with all this....
