Just received the Ultra 2 yesterday and loving it so far. I am curious to know if there’s a setting to adjust how soon night mode turns on? In my case, it feels overly sensitive and switches on too quickly. E.g. a hallway with no windows (dim, but certainly not dark).

Sorry if this has been asked, tried searching but couldn’t find a specific post. Thanks!

Doesn’t seem to be; may be the point of it using the ALS. It does dynamically change the brightness of the Night Mode (similar to Standby Mode on the phone) depending on the amount of light, but I agree: an option to manually set the threshold could be useful.

Evidently my bedroom tv keeps the overall room brightness right on the cusp on enough/not enough light, so the watch is constantly switching between the two modes. Annoying, so I’ve just turned it off completely for now.

Agreed. It’s great on Standby with the iPhone and would be awesome on the watch as well if it only turned on in true darkness. Oh well, off it goes for me too.

I'm seeing a slightly different problem. Night Mode doesn't kick in (or only does so after 4 or 5 minutes), unless I lightly tap the screen in a dark place. Conversely, the change is automatic and instantaneous when light hits the screen when it's in Night Mode.

I do have the Modular Ultra face set to Night Mode auto.

I've reset both Watch and iPhone, but maybe I need to try that again.

I'm noticing that when I have modular ultra set to auto, it will sort of cycle through brightness before settling on the one it wants. This is what typically happens when I'm in an indoor area.

- Tap to turn on watch.
- Watch face gets bright.
- Watch face dims. At this point, it might flash the night mode and it might not.
- Watch face gets bright again and settles on that brightness.

Sometimes the dimming before getting bright again is very slight and sometimes it is really noticeable. I don't understand why it can't decide what it's going to do before turning on, and then just do it. It's like it's thinking about whether it should be dimmer and whether the night mode should switch on before settling on the brightness it ends up on.

It's annoying. I've shut off night mode for now. I'm wondering if this is a hardware fault that requires an exchange. I really don't want to have to exchange it because other than that it seems good.
