Walked into the mall about 730am was about 20 to 30 people in line Apple specialit’s came over asked me what device I wanted made the reservation and told me I didn’t have to wait I could just come back at 1245 but I’m going back sooner than that

Do they let you pick up sooner than appointment time?
Yes I got it about 11

Apple really should address the scalpers at the stores on days like today. There is a couple that has 9 people in line. They have given them each several apple gift cards and instructions on what to buy. Sounds like they sell them off Craigslist later today.
Yep watched this going on 3 times in a 10 min wait. Lots & lots of gift cards.

I heard vietnamese sell them in vietnam for 100% profit because they don't launch until later

Courier delivery was the hit of my day!

After all the Apple stores showed nothing for today, I went on my iPhone and noticed courier delivery - same day for $9.

I thought - nah no way since the stores are out.

Paid, checked out and waited.

3 hours later, Uber driver shows up and delivers my iPhone 14!

I was stunned!

No need to drive, burn gasoline, wait in lines, or even wait for an order from China over a week tracking it...

Guess what I will be doing next year!

I don't think it is sold out for today. when it went live, all phones were only available to pick up tomorrow here in Dallas. I think Apple wants to limit in-store traffic today.

The above post makes sense... they might not have any open slot for appointment today due to Pre-order pickup.
I went to pick up the phone even though my appointment is tomorrow. the process was quick, taking 5 min, and I was out of the store with iphone 14 Pro Max

Update on my courier delivery in NYC - driver said my Space Black 512 GB Pro was “delivered” without any confirmation. Likely stolen lol. Opened an investigation w Apple, and the dumbest part on his end is that I have his name and photo 🤦🏻

The courier is supposed to get a signature upon delivery.

My courier (UBER) would not leave my iPhone with my office staff. He called me and said I needed to sign for it.

Very good, secure service for $9.

Well worth the courier experience in Los Angeles.

It's a "good, secure service" when the courier decides to not break the law and steal a new iPhone lol

Same with me! I am waiting to hear back from Apple as well. On my end, it is marked delivered, but on Apple's end it is cancelled. I have the text messages talking with Apple for proof in case they try to say it is not their fault. Right now, no refund even though they swore I would get one.

I gave them a call and they opened up a "delivery investigation." After two days they started the refund process. I would call, and explain there's no delivery confirmation/signature and you believe the courier (a service they provide thru Uber/Postmates) stole the item.

I have one open and just impatiently waiting (more probably due to the weekend) since it is tying up money. I am hoping to have the refund before my credit card statement cuts!

Have you gotten yours sorted out? I contacted Apple again today and they are clueless as to why the case has no update so they followed up on it. I was told that if I do not hear back within 48 hours to contact them again and it will be raised to their senior.

Report it to your card company - they will place a chargeback and Apple will be forced to act on it within a certain period of time.

I thought about that, but I did it through the Citizens loan so it would not help me long term. I just received an email saying they are processing the refund. But there is not much in the email and the website order status has nothing about it. For a tech company, you would think that their email/order status would be more useful!

I generally don't go stand on line on launch day, I usually wait a couple of months to buy my next iPhone, and I usually order it online. But ONCE I expected to. A coworker and I made a snap decision to go on launch day to get the new iPhone 4S in 2011. We worked not far from Mall of America, which has an Apple Store. So we drove to MOA, braced ourselves and...

...no line. None at all. Now, this was at the end of the work day, the actual launch had happened that morning. Still. We walked into the store, expecting them to be fresh out, they'll have more in however many days...

...they had plenty of stock. We wanted black, 16 GB. No problem. Paid and walked out.
