I used iDVD to burn a disk image of a project I am working on.

When I double click to mount the volume, the mounted volume has the name MY_GREAT_DVD.

When I get info, it says this a read only file.

How can I change this name?

I need to send this .img to another company and MY_GREAT_DVD just sounds really arrogant and I would love to change this.

I saw nothing in iDVD that would allow me to set this name, either.

Thanks in advance.

Once its burned to a dvd it's stuck that way unless its a dvdrw disk and if you still have the disk image on your HD you're better off erasing it and re burning the disk. If its just a dvdr it's set for life.

Thanks for the reply.

I haven't burnt any disks yet.

I am just trying to change the name of the mounted volume when it appears on the desktop after double clicking the .img.

I wish iDVD just used the .img file name to name the volume, but it names it MY_GREAT_DVD instead.

which is annoying as it is such a stupid name.

thanks

Thank you, Richard!

I knew I had to be missing something easy.

Thanks again!
