Possible to create a DVD with no menu in iDVD?

I have a single .avi file I want to burn to DVD. Is it possible to use iDVD to burn it without having to set up a menu or anything? I played around with iDVD for a while last night and couldn't figure it out.

If iDVD can't do this, can anyone recommend a good free program that can?

I take it that you want the dvd to play automatically when inserted in a dvd player?

If so, in the iDVD Project window, click on the Project Map button and then drag and drop your movie file into the first box.
