Hi all, I just my my ultra and I’m debating if I should leave my 8 cellular active and add a new plan to my ultra since I plan to alternate between the two , my question is if this is possible using the same iPhone ? Has anyone even tried this before ?
Thanks

EE in the UK confirmed to me it is possible but with one small caveat.

I have an old sim only data plan with them and took out a new series 8 contract last Friday, disconnecting the old plan I had.

I purchased an Ultra yesterday as well from a standard retail store and phoned EE, they reverted my disconnection request and will let me have two plans.

However, it is not possible for both plans to be associated with the same iPhone phone number. One Apple Watch plan will need to operate using a standalone phone number that comes as part of the plan.

I am sure that calls and messages still come through from you iPhone when it is in range, but if out of range I assume any calls and messages would only be possible using the Apple Watch specific phone number.

I have had 2 watches both paired to the same iPhone and both active with the same carrier. In the Watch app you can activate Auto Switch and the watch thats being worn will be active. Or you can leave Auto Switch off and manually select which watch is active. The carrier will charge the normal fee for smartwatches for each watch.

Where is that setting?

I had that same situation a few years ago and what you describe is what I remember. Also, while each watch had it's own number, when either watch, selected to be active, would receive calls made to the iPhone's number, and when calling, would show the iPhone's number in caller id.

So then it is ok to have two watches with active cellular on the same phone . This is good because I use one for work and the other for everything else , going to add the extra plan today , and with my discount it will only cost 5.00 each Watch
