Possible to have Watch mirror phone's "silent" switch?

Is it possible to have the watch be on silent mode (taps only) when I have my iPhone switch set to vibrate, and then have it switch to sounds when my iPhone side switch is flipped to sounds?

Unfortunately no. However silencing the watch is not difficult since there is a Glance setting for it

This doesn't do what I'm asking...

I thought you were asking for it to make sounds when your phone makes sounds and be silent when your phone is silent. If not, apologies.
