Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone knows whether it is possible to convert files that have DTS track to AC3 + AAC 2Ch but also keep the DTS as another 3rd track?

I would prefer to keep the DTS for playback on the HTPC with DTS receiver as it sounds slightly better to me.

Not currently possible in the MP4 container, but doable in MKV.

That's a shame... :( I wish there was the best of both worlds... Is it possible to extract DTS track separately and play MP4 and DTS track through say VLC?

Or maybe I should just bite the bullet, convert everything, calibrate my receiver to perfection and hope that I won't notice the difference...

I've seen in both Quicktime and iFlicks options to create a reference MP4 that is just the container and points to the tracks of another file. Perhaps it's possible to create an MP4 that references an MKV? The MKV would have the three audio tracks and the MP4 would reference only two of them?
