I have a lot of music on my laptop, but it has poor meta data and is not organized well. I don't want to have to go through all of that on my phone. I much prefer to just stream all of my music on the new Apple music app much like how I do on Spotify, even if I have my own copy of the song. However, there is some music that isn't available on iTunes that I would like to sync to my phone. Is this possible. Right now it seems like I have to list y entire iTunes library on the phone.

To my knowledge ,no you can't pick what you want to upload to iCloud Music Library,it's all or nothing..

Yes, as edvj said, it's an all-or-nothing situation. So you'll either have to bite the bullet and start organizing your music library (yes, I know, not an enjoyable activity), or you basically put all the stuff from your library that you want to see into well-organized playlists, and from then on you only look into your library if it's unavoidable. ;)

I opted to not upload/match my entire collection to Apple Music and instead created a new library that was empty, keeping all of the music from my old library where it was on my hard drive, and now I add in the things that Apple Music is missing. So you could do the same and only add in music you know has the correct metadata.

This seems perfect. How did you create a new library? Did you just move all of your music out of the itunes folder?
