Ok so I got an exchange previously because of cosmetics and battery problem. Now I've had this new iPhone for two weeks and I noticed again cosmetic problems such as bezel not smooth on some part of the edges making small tiny dents and on the back near the logo a dent. If you take a toothpick and try to make a point/dent that's what I looks like. Besides that tonight in the dark I noticed a small hole in the plastic very tiny noticeable only in the dark if pointed at. To top it off this ipjne is much slower than my previous one. Is it possible to get the genius bar to replace it with another one again? I don't mind if it's a refurb.

that's true but I don't Want them to think I'm picky. These problems to them are probably only noticable if pointed at. Then Again I am paying $299+163 for the bill... I just don't know.

not sure if they will go for the bezel stuff, they might just think it is physical damage

GL

can you guys tell me if the hole is normal? It's right between the silent switch button and the bezel. When I turn the switch I don't see any light coming out of he hole.

Just enjoy your phone and stop worrying about every microscopic mark on it. Unless you keep it in a glass case, it's going to get wear and tear anyways.

Depends on the genius. If he's a jerk, he'll just recite something straight out of his genius training manual by saying it's normal wear and tear. some of these guys gets a bigger kick out of seeing you back down and leaving the store than by replacing your iphone, ok. so be prepared.

...and why would they think that? If everyone keeps up this insane idea that you are entitled to a replacement(s) for any perceived imperfection that you need 10 minuets and a magnifying glass to see the price of the next iPhone will skyrocket up in price. The phones just don't fall from the sky and the people who work at the Genus bar must be paid. Apple must pay for them and if Apple pays then it IS a FACT that it's passed on to the consumer.

Have you been using a case since you got your new one? If not it *might* be damage inflicted by you. You'll have a greater change of getting an exchange if the return reason is a performance issue and not a cosmetic one. If its slower than your previous phone you could probably get a new one -- but this time examine the replacement very carefully at the genius bar.

This won't cost Apple a lot. Your old phone will just be recycled as a refurb replacement for someone else. Maybe it will eventually find its way to the online refurb store. Apple is not exactly on the edge financially so I don't feel sorry for them.

Now, if you get this one and eventually find imperfections on *it* that drive you nuts--you might be OCD. :)
