Hello all,

So I had my time machine backup my entire mac OS using an actual macbook, which I have now sold...

I would like to restore from the time machine but I don't have a mac now.

Is it possible to install VMware (or parallels) into Windows, then install OSX, then plug in the time machine to restore?

You'll have to scour the dark corners of the Internets to find instructions on how to break Apple's EULA to run a macOS VM on a non-Apple computer. That's the limitation.
