Possible to turn off big emoji?

Doesn't look like this is possible for now. I wouldn't be surprised to see a few toggles added to messaging over the beta cycle (though I wouldn't be surprised not to, if I'm honest)

By any chance is there an update on this topic? Please tell me Apple has given us an option to turn off the huge Emojis. They look so childish and tacky in iOS 10 🙁

No. There is no option. But they really aren't the that big. When first announced, I wasn't happy. But using it for 2 months, really not that annoying.
They're only big if you send only emojis. If you have text in with them, they're small.

Whew! Thanks for that. Having emojis 3x the normal size looks like **** and very tacky to me. At least I know now how to keep them small. Cheers mate 🙂
