Is it possible to upgrade just the trackpad in a 2014 MBPr to the 2015 MBPr trackpad?

I imagine there's a lot of hardware required to do this "upgrade" and then you have to trick macOS into thinking you've got a newer computer so the settings are available in preferences.

Possible? Probably. Feasible? Absolutely not.

No I'd imagine not, at least not one that's viable financially or engineering wise. You'd be better off just selling what you have and buying a second hand or refurb 2015.

Nope, its not really possible
