Possible to use touch ID only for Apple pay?

I just got a new ipad with touch ID. But I have no interest in locking my ipad with a passcode and such things. It only sits at home, I don't need security. But I do want to use apple pay with the touch ID. How do I do that?

Unfortunately, it's not currently possible. However, give TouchID a try. You may find it's faster than slide to unlock.

No when I turn off ipad unlock, the whole thing just turns off. The whole page

This will prompt you for passcode instead of TouchID so no go.

Apple Pay isn't restricted to in-store purchases. You can use it in apps.

The iPad only allows for in-app use of Apple Pay. It doesn't have an NFC radio.
